Word That Lives is a personal project built to spread the Word of God. We collect as little information as possible and will never sell, trade, or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes. This page explains plainly what we do collect and why.
What we collect
Email address (newsletter signup). If you sign up for updates, we store your email address to send you news about new projects and launches. Nothing else.
Contact form submissions. If you send us a message through the About page, that message is delivered to our inbox. We keep it only as long as the conversation is active.
Telegram user data. If you subscribe to the Daily Word via Telegram, Telegram's platform shares your user ID and username with our bot so it can deliver messages to you. We store only what is needed to send the daily card. We do not share this with anyone.
What we do not collect
- No tracking cookies
- No advertising or retargeting data
- No cross-site tracking, and no data sold to anyone
- No payment information (all services are free)
Cookies
This site does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. The only cookies that may be set are technical ones from Google Fonts (used to load the typefaces you see on the page). You can block these via your browser settings with no effect on the site's functionality.
Analytics
We use Vercel's privacy-friendly analytics to count page views and see which pages are read most. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect personal data. We see aggregate numbers, never individuals.
How we use your information
Email addresses are used only to send updates about Word That Lives. Contact form messages are used only to reply to you. Telegram data is used only to deliver the Daily Word. That is all.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from the Daily Word at any time by messaging the Telegram bot. You can ask us to delete your email or any message data by writing to hello@wordthatlives.com. We will do so promptly.
Third-party services
We use Telegram to deliver the Daily Word. Their privacy policy is at telegram.org/privacy. We use Google Fonts to load typefaces. Their privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy. The site is hosted on Vercel, which also provides our analytics; their privacy policy is at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. We will never change this policy in ways that reduce your rights without notice.
